Akshay Kumar is super excited for his upcoming historical war drama ‘Prithaviraj’ . The trailer of said film is dropped recently . Ever since its release , it has been the talk of different social media platforms. The historical drama is based on the life of brave king Prithviraj Chauhan . Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying the character of king Prithviraj facing invador Ghori . The movie also featured former Miss World Manushi Chillar opposite to Kumar as Sanyogita ,Sanjay Dutt as his uncle Kaka Kanha, Sonu Sood as Chandravardai, Manav Vij as Muhammad Ghori, and Ashutosh Rana as Sanyogita’s father Jayachandra.
Speaking during the trailer launch event of movie , Akshay Kumar explained that he wants to show this movie to every child ,”Doctor Sahab (director Chandraprakash) asked me to read Prithviraj Raso, and asked me to read it slowly. Reading that, I realised that Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan was such a great warrior. And when we read history books, there was only a paragraph about him. I would want that every children, not only from this country but from all over the world, see this film. It’s an educational film. When you will watch it you will realise that you will want to show it to your children.”
Further , he revealed that he feels extremely proud to be the part of ‘Prithviraj’ as his mother Aruna Bhatia, who passed away in last year, would have reacted to it. He said that,”I wish if my mother was here, she would have been so proud”. “I would want every child to watch this film. I would also request the government that this film is shown in schools as a compulsory thing and that the children are told about our history, and how it happened. … Everything you see in the film is true, it has indeed happened. But we don’t know about it and I find this really amusing. Dr Saab has been researching this for 18 years! That’s the amount of hard work he has put in the film,” further he added.
‘Prithviraj’ is slated to be release on big screens on June 3 . From the trailer , the film seems to be super exciting. So , mark the dates for June 3.
