Directed by Jasmeet Reen as a debutant, starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew is receiving criticism as well as love from the audience and the director seems to enjoy every bit of it.
She says that primary idea was to show a mother-daughter duo who want to set the daughter’s marriage on track. It is a situational comedy that comes itself, rather than creating it. She wanted to depict the issues that women may encounter in a different way in their daily lives and to tell their sensitive stories to the world by writing or directing.
The idea of putting up characters was to show that we as a person don’t have to command respect from anyone, it is already within us.
The audience has given a mixed reaction to the film, it has to be seen yet which side overpowers – the supporters or the critics.
