Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Atal ji completed his BA from Victoria College in Gwalior, which is now known as Lakshmibai College. After a Master’s degree in Political Science from DAV College, Kanpur, he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh as a volunteer and he has continued to compete in debate tournaments around the country ever since.
