Who is Malala Yousafzai?
Malala Yousafzai is a activist of. Pakistan who openly spoke out for the education of in her country .Because women were banned from teaching in Pakistan and
prohibited other activities dancing & watching T.v. etc.
Early childhood-
Malala Yousafzai was born on 12 July 1997 in
Pakistan’s district Swat • She is from Sunni Muslim family. Her farther named Ziauddin Yousafzai who also an educational activist ,a poet and a school owner. Her mother name’s Toor Pekai Yousafzai. At that time she was a housewife. Now she is also learning English & becoming independent. Malala has also two younger brothers named Khushal & Atal.
Education-
Malala Yousafzai attended Khushal girls High School, founded by her father. Unfortunately, it was closed by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. After that she moved to England for continued her education in the University of Oxford.
She studied History, Geography, Mathematics & Religious studies from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.
Incident-
On 9 OCT 2012, Malala & her two friends were shot by the Taliban. She was hit in the head with a bullet. Because of her critical condition she transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, U.K.
Yousafzai became a famous activist for the right of education after her recovery.
Honours & Achievement-
Malala Yousafzai has received national & International awards. Yousafzai is the world’s youngest Nobel Prize winner in 2014, when she was awarded she just only 17 & honoured this award with Kailash Satyarthi who is also Indian children’s rights activist.
In Nov 2012, Malala also received Mother Teresa Award for Social Justice.
In Sep 2013, She was awarded by Ambassador of conscience Award from Amnesty International.
In 2014, Yousafzai awarded the World’s Children Prize, known as Children’s Nobel Prize.
In 2014, Malala honoured by the award of Asia Game Changer.
In 2017, Malala also received Youngest Ever, United Nations Messenger of Peace.
In 2017, She was awarded by Honorary Canadian Citizen.
Organisation & Books-
Malala Yousafzai started the organisation named “Malala Fund”.
Malala also wrote a blog heading “ I am Afraid “ for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
