Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is an upcoming Hindi-language biography and drama movie. The movie is directed by Randeep Hooda and produced by Anand Pandit under the banner of Legend Studio and AVAK films. Randeep Hooda in the lead role along with Amit Sial, Ankita Lokhande and R Bhakti Klein. On March 22, in honor of Martyr’s Day this year, this movie will be released in Hindi and Marathi.
Storyline –
The plot of the movie revolves around the life story of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, well known as Veer Savarkar, an Indian reformer and independence warrior. The song “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye,” a bhajan by Mahatma Gandhi, opens the teaser. Suddenly, a rap song featuring Savarkar begins. In the background, Randeep’s voice can be heard saying, “I hate non-violence, not Gandhi.” On the 140th anniversary of Veer Savarkar’s birth, a trailer for the film featuring Randeep in the part of the legendary man has been unveiled.
Star Casting –
Randeep made every effort to fully inhabit this persona. For this, he dropped 26 kg of weight. He adhered to a rigorous diet for four months to accomplish this. Randeep also shaved his hair to give the character a genuine appearance.
In addition to playing the principal role, Randeep Hooda is the film’s director. This will be his first feature picture as director. Amit Sial and Ankita Lakhande will also feature prominently in the movie.
