Indian actress and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas has done numerous heartwarming and most tempting roles and won the hearts of the audience. She can be introduced as an actress both in Bollywood and in Hollywood, a businesswoman, a singer, an author, and a producer. And amazingly now, she has yet another feather to add to her cap, as she has joined the Producers Guild of America as a member. Yes, you read that right! Priyanka Chopra is now a member of the most esteemed organization. 

On September 14, 2021, the PGA shared the news with netizens via took to its official Twitter handle. The organization made the announcement of Priyanka’s induction into the organization by taking it to its Twitter account. The tweet reads, “#MembershipMonday: @producersguild welcomes actress, singer, and film producer @priyankachopra as a member. Ms. Chopra Jonas has 14 producer credits to her name, including an executive producer credit for #TheWhiteTiger.” Then the actress thanked the Producers Guild of America for the induction through the quote-tweeted post on her Twitter handle. She posted, “Grateful for the induction. Thank you @producersguild”

The organization has a community of over 8,000 Producers Guild of America members. Who spans across the full producing team in scripted, non-fiction, documentary, animation, and new media sectors. According to the information on the official website of PGA,“ its a non-profit trade organization that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and new media. The Guild invests in its core values that benefit the industry at large. These values are rooted in facilitating employment of its members, advocating for sustainable practices in production that minimize human and environmental harm, ensuring a set culture that advances safety and creates viable pathways into the guild for the next generation of producers, particularly those from populations under-represented in the industry. Year-round it hosts a number of educational, mentoring and professional networking programs.”

The Indian actress has produced a number of movies under her own production banner named Purple Pebbles Pictures. The two National-Award-winning Marathi films Ventilator and Paani are among them. Apart from this, the Barfi actress was also the executive-producer and actor in Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel based and the Ramin Bahrani directorial film, The White Tiger. Chopra has several projects in the pipeline, on the acting front. She is currently shooting for the thriller series Citadel. She will be seen shortly in the much-anticipated, The Matrix: Resurrections, featuring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Also, she will be a part of  Jee Le Zaraa alongwith Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, which is Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial.
