Storyline –
Tejas presents Tejas Gill, a female fighter pilot, and her inspirational path. She is prepared to go to any length for her country, determined to protect it from terrorist dangers. Despite several obstacles, Indian Air Force pilot Tejas Gill is on a mission to free hostages held by terrorists.
This film, which honors the spirit of the Indian Air Force and highlights the historic 2016 induction of women in combat roles, is the first of its kind in India.
For four months, Kangana Ranaut, who plays the lead role, trained intensely to become proficient in the unique fighting methods employed by the armed forces. She will be portraying a soldier on screen for a certain amount of time.
Review –
There have been conflicting reviews of the movie from viewers since it opened. It has been described as an enormous letdown by some, while others have lauded Kangana for her outstanding performance and labeled the movie an action-packed emotional picture. Others went so far as to criticize the movie’s VFX and script. The movie is receiving a lot of bad press, and some have speculated that Kangana received payment to write favorable reviews.
Kangana and Anshul Chauhan have presented themselves effectively. An amazing film that pays homage to the bravery and commitment of an Indian soldier is Tejas. This powerful movie highlights the bravery, tenacity, and selflessness of our military heroes. Kangana gave again another outstanding performance. It’s well-made, has a fantastic performance, and has beautiful music that everyone should see. We should all give the team a standing ovation.
It’s an entertaining movie because of its strong acting and direction, fantastic action scenes, and a good concept—even though the ending is what I expected it to be. Why people don’t criticize patriotic movies that focus only on men.
Along with a strong narrative, directing, cinematography, and acting, the film on a large screen will undoubtedly enhance the cinematic experience.
Overall, it was a very nice film. The story was well-written and engaging. Both Kangana’s acting and that of the entire supporting cast were superb. The movie delivers a very powerful message about women’s empowerment.
Box Office Collection –
On October 27, the movie was released in theaters, although it did not perform very well at the box office. On the first day alone, the audience responded to Tejas in a fairly chilly manner. The directors were hoping that Kangana Ranaut’s Tejas would pick up steam over the weekend after a dismal start at the box office, but they were disappointed to see that the film’s earnings have been extremely slow.
Tejas concluded its first weekend of release in theaters unable to break even Rs 4 crore in the domestic market. The film failed to attract much attention even on its opening day, Friday, and only made a meager Rs 1.25 crore—a far cry from its reported budget of an astounding Rs 60 crore. Tejas only had an 8.37% overall Hindi occupancy rate on Sunday. At first, the film had 5.80 percent occupancy in the Hindi market during the morning shows. After grossing just Rs 54 lakh across the country, the movie is expected to utterly flunk its first Monday test. In the international market, where it has only made Rs 25 lakh so far, the movie has not been receiving much traction either.
