The Buckingham Murders is an upcoming Indian-language Crime, Thriller and Mystery. The movie is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Mahana Films. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan plays as a lead character along with Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. The movie will be released in theaters on 13 September 2024.  

The Buckingham Murders Plot:

British-Indian detective Jasmeet Bhamra recently lost her child. She is given the case of a Buckinghamshire 10-year-old kid who was murdered. Trauma, bereavement, the immigrant experience, and our desire for closure are among the issues explored. The movie promises to be a gripping thriller that explores motives and relationships as it uncovers the suspense of a covert murder that leads to a whodunit.

Kareena Kapoor Khan as a bereaved British-Indian investigator given the case of a child who was murdered in Buckinghamshire.

Hansal, well-known in Bollywood for his bold sociopolitical themes, takes a step outside his comfort zone by filming entirely on location in rural England with a predominantly British crew. However, Hansal does import one essential element: The Buckingham Murders, which is directed by Bollywood A-lister and celebrated actress Kareena Kapoor and marks her first credit as producer.

Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor and Raghav Raj Kakker wrote the screenplay for “The Buckingham Murders,” which is directed by Hansal Mehta. co-produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films.  

The film is in both English and Hindi, with 80% of the dialogue in English. It featured primarily British supporting performers, notably Keith Allen.

Overview:

On October 14, 2023, The Buckingham Murders premiered at the 67th BFI London Film Festival. On October 27, it premiered at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre as the opening film of the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival. The film is set to be released in theaters on September 13, 2024. It will also be available to stream on Netflix at an indeterminate date.
